Child Protection Program (I Am Aware – I Am Strong): Promoting Self-Protection and Safe Expression for Children
As part of its commitment to strengthening child protection and promoting children's mental well-being, Bazrah Organization for Peace and Psychological Well-being implemented the Child Protection Program (I Am Aware – I Am Strong) in response to the need for safe environments where children can acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to protect themselves and develop positive coping strategies for the challenges they may encounter in their daily lives.
The program focused on increasing children's awareness of self-protection concepts through age-appropriate and child-centered approaches. Interactive awareness sessions encouraged participation and dialogue, helping children understand key child protection concepts in practical and accessible ways. The program also emphasized building children's self-confidence and encouraging them to express their feelings and needs within a safe, supportive, and respectful environment.
Child-friendly learning methods formed a core component of the program, incorporating storytelling, games, drawing, and group activities to create an engaging and interactive learning experience. These approaches enabled children to develop essential knowledge and life skills while strengthening positive peer interaction, fostering a sense of safety and belonging, and enhancing communication and self-expression.
The program was facilitated by trained professionals who created a supportive environment that promoted children's psychological well-being, encouraged active participation, and contributed to building confident, resilient, and self-aware children who are better equipped to face everyday challenges.
This initiative reflects Bazrah Organization for Peace and Psychological Well-being's commitment to investing in child protection, promoting mental well-being, and advancing preventive approaches that contribute to building safer communities with greater awareness of children's rights and their psychosocial needs.
