Promoting Mental Well-being and Psychosocial Support for Displaced Women and Children in Al-Naqi' Camp, Taiz Governorate
As part of its commitment to responding to the mental health and psychosocial needs of populations most affected by crises, Bazrah Organization for Peace and Psychological Well-being implemented the Promoting Mental Well-being and Psychosocial Support for Displaced Women and Children initiative in Al-Naqi' Camp, Taiz Governorate. The initiative aimed to provide a supportive environment that promotes the mental well-being and psychosocial health of displaced women and children while helping to mitigate the psychological and social impacts associated with displacement and humanitarian hardship.
The initiative focused on delivering mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) interventions tailored to the needs of women and children living in the camp. Through interactive group activities, participants were provided with safe and positive spaces for communication, self-expression, and social connection, fostering resilience, psychosocial well-being, and stronger community relationships within the displacement setting.
This initiative reflects Bazrah Organization for Peace and Psychological Well-being's ongoing commitment to reaching the most vulnerable populations and promoting mental well-being in crisis-affected communities. By implementing community-based activities grounded in the principles of mental health and psychosocial support, the organization contributes to creating a more supportive environment for women and children while strengthening social cohesion and fostering peaceful coexistence.
