Strengthening the Digital Literacy and Capacity of Women Media Activists
As part of its commitment to empowering women and strengthening their ability to navigate digital challenges, Bazrah Organization for Peace and Psychological Well-being implemented the Strengthening the Digital Literacy and Capacity of Women Media Activists initiative. The initiative aimed to enhance digital literacy, increase awareness of cybersecurity, and equip women media activists with the knowledge and skills to use digital technologies and online platforms more safely and effectively in both their personal and professional lives.
The initiative focused on developing essential digital literacy skills, protecting personal accounts and data, and raising awareness of the risks women may encounter in digital spaces. Participants gained practical knowledge and hands-on strategies to strengthen their digital security, safeguard their online presence, and reduce risks associated with the use of technology and social media platforms.
The initiative also addressed the psychological impacts of digital violence and explored effective coping strategies. This reflects Bazrah Organization for Peace and Psychological Well-being's belief that digital safety is an essential component of mental well-being, particularly for women working in the media and community sectors.
